About the Project
At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, a good friend of mine decided to finally pursue her passion project, a creative online space dedicated to producing baked products and promoting local art (via collaborations). She aptly named her business "Share the Carbs" and asked me to design her brand's identity.

Design Concept
Coming up with the concept was a truly collaborative process with the client providing me information of her brand as well as her own creative process which then informed the design. The concept that we arrived at was one that focused on showcasing the brand as a creative space where baking and the love of carbs was the common denominator. The client did not want to limit her project to just a baking business.

Brand Mark Exploration
Because the client did not wish to have a brand mark that limited her business to just baked goods and carbs, she requested that the design veer away from any obvious and literal imagery that portrayed bread or baked goods. She also wanted something that would be timeless and flexible.

Final Brand Mark Concept
The final logo resulted in a simple brand mark comprised of the three letters 'STC' with the 't' designed in lowercase negative space element. An exclamation mark (!) was added to the brand mark to communicate excitement and enthusiasm for sharing stories, creativity and love for carbs. To subtly tie-in the brand mark with the concept of sharing carbs, it was designed to look like a piece of kneaded dough complete with little crevices and contours.

Final Output
The final output consisted of a brand package that contained all the final artworks, fonts, and hex codes. I also provided the client design support for her social media content creation and printed collaterals.
